I had a vision for making a round bistro table with an uninterrupted brass ring bezel and spent a long time trying to figure out how to make it happen and look like it was always there. Spoiler alert: I figured it out. Of course I didn't get pictures of some of the critical steps of the process which makes it seem like it was simpler to do than it was. The brass ring was made from 1/4" square rod, cut rolled and brazed into a ring. In order to get a crisp edge on all sides of the exposed brass, it had to be machined in three separate phases and cast in white epoxy three separate times as well.
